Conceptual / Empirical work - 2010
January - March Scenarios for physics of motion:
The tabletop will run two scenarios: a tangible scenario and a virtual simulation. In the tangible environment, children will be able to drag physical objects
on the surface and see the corresponding Speed x Time and Distance x Time graphs being continuously plotted in real time, on the table surface. With the virtual
simulation, each child will be able to control the movement of a virtual shape through physical tokens and see the corresponding graphs being plotted in real time,
on the surface.
The augmented object displays different colours according to its movement, and will be used to investigate children's interpretation of movement.
The augmented object
