Graph-based models for Visualisation and Interaction with the WWW
Funding and Staffing Details
This project was originally funded by King's College Research Strategy Funds.
Alex Poulovassilis was the
Principal Investigator and Petros Demetriades the PhD
student working on the project.
Project Outline and Aims
This project is developing new techniques to aid presentation, navigation,
querying and update of the WWW. Our techniques aim to work
alongside traditional browsers and search engines but to extend their
functionality in various ways, including:
- maintaining local databases about WWW pages of interest
- allowing new semantic links to be generated in these databases,
thus creating user "views" of the WWW
- providing visual querying and update facilities for these views
- visualising the browsing history also as a graph.
